Toasters Club is President's Distinguished

For the sixth year in a row, Toasters Club in Lubbock, Texas, has achieved a status of Distinguished (or better.) For the last three years, we achieved President's Distinguished status and were the only President's Distinguished Toastmasters club in Lubbock for the 2016-2017 year.

In addition, Kim Davis, a member of Toasters, was the Area 62 Director this year and helped her Area (comprised of six clubs in Lubbock) achieved Distinguished Area status.

We meet every Thursday at 7:00 am in the Lubbock Eye Clinic (3702 34th Street, Lubbock, TX.)

Toasters Members Receive District Recognition

Four members of Toasters Toastmasters club in Lubbock, Texas, received recognition from District 23 for their extraordinary efforts during the 2015-2016 Toastmasters year.

Lisa Thomason, Gary Johnson, Dustin McEwen, and Kim Davis (pictured below) volunteered for roles as Club Coaches and helped three struggling clubs achieved Distinguished status before July 1, 2016. Lisa and Dustin coached the Eloquent Raiders club that meets at Texas Tech University. Gary coached the Downtown club that meets at River Smith's. And Kim coached the Lubbock Professional club that meets at Greenlawn Church of Christ.

All four are long-time members of Toasters club which meets every Thursday morning from 7:00am to 8:00am at the Lubbock Eye Clinic (3702 34th Street, Lubbock, Texas.)

Kim Davis Elected Division F Director

Kim Davis, a long time member of Toasters club and our current Area 62 Director was recently elected to the position of Division F Director for District 23 Toastmasters. As one of her first jobs as Division Director, Kim delivered some Triple Crown pins and also received her official Division Director pin during a Toasters Toastmasters club meeting on May 18, 2017.

Kim is the Community Relations Manager at Mosaic and uses her Toastmasters skills to help promote the Mosiac and the wonder work it is doing.

Jada Gets Pinned

Jada Morrow, the newest member of Toasters Toastmasters club in Lubbock, Texas, gave her Ice Breaker speech today. She talked about making sure you have joy in your journey and even passed out bubble gum.

Kim Davis Name Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of the Year

Kim Davis, a long time member of the Toasters Toastmasters club in Lubbock, Texas, was named the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce's Ambassador of the Year for 2016.

Kim is also the Area 62 Director which entails assisting six clubs in Lubbock. She's busy in and out of Toastmasters.

Dustin and the McEwen Tales

Dustin McEwen wove a tall tale about the history of the McEwen family and won the Tall Tales contest at Toasters Toastmasters Club on September 8, 2016.

With this win, Dustin goes on to compete in the Area 62 Contest on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at HQ Plaza (5307 West Loop 289, Lubbock, Texas.)
